our mission

The national Pheasants Forever organization is dedicated to the development of habitat suited for the propagation and long term survival of pheasant populations.  That goal and objective is a large part of the mission for the North Central Pennsylvania Pheasants Forever Chapter 630 as well. To that end Chapter 630 has been not only dedicated to but has become one of the leaders in providing wildlife habitat on both public and private lands across the North Central part of the State. Each year the Chapter coordinates and performs habitat projects on public and private lands that host some of the best pheasant hunting opportunities to be found in this part of the state. The Chapter also hosts mentored hunting opportunities for a large number of new and youth pheasant hunters each year. 

To fund these services and programs the Chapter holds many different types fund raising events including raffles and an annual banquet. We also use wildlife habitat work conducted on private lands as one of our major fundraising activities.

The North Central PA Chapter’s Mission is to protect, restore, and enhance wildlife habitat by establishing and maintaining local projects.  Steps we take to work towards that mission are:

• Create, improve, and preserve upland bird habitat
• Foster youth hunting and outdoor activities.
• Support our Foundation Hunt program for disabled and terminally ill children.
• Develop, distribute and foster conservation education.
• Introduce and advance prudent management of conservation policies.
